An Airborne Granny!
We saw whales in Boundary Pass on both trips yesterday. AND on our second trip, J2 “Granny” did something we don’t often get to see her do - BREACH! Not bad for an old girl. This is not a great shot by any means, but I wanted to share it:

And we also had some great quality time with J1 “Ruffles”:

I never tire of watching these two iconic whales. It’s hard to believe that Granny has probably been around since before the first world war. And Ruffles, well, it’s hard to describe the feeling of awe that passes over when his huge dorsal fin slices through the calm waters. I consider any time spent with these two orcas to be a blessing.
