It was truly an amazing day with non-stop action from start to finish. The Bald Eagle action started the trip. My pictures of the eagle attacking the gull are not in focus but it was interesting the see the action. The gull managed to dip below the surface just as the eagle tried to grab it. I would guess that the eagle may have come back after we left. Sadly I don’t think the gull would get too far with the wing injuries it got from the in-flight attack of the eagle. Next, it was on to Steller Sea Lions at Whale Rocks, then low and behold my first ever Sea Otter sighting in San Juan County waters!! We got a glimpse of a few harbor porpoise while watching the otter. Then encountered the T77’s traveling along the south end of Lopez Island.
