Nina has been a part of the Western Prince crew since the spring of 2015. After years in the corporate world she decided to change her path and follow her love for Marine Mammals and the Salish Sea. Nina came to the Pacific Northwest from Germany and now spends her summers on San Juan Island and the winters in Issaquah. When she is not spending time as marine naturalist, she volunteers with the West Seattle MM Stranding Network and interns with WDFW in the Marine Mammal field. Nina believes that education in a fun and “on location” environment is an important tool to raise awareness and protect the Salish Sea and its Wildlife.
