Fall in the San Juan Islands is a wonderful way to wind down after a busy summer. The crowds lessen but the whales and wildlife are abundant. We still have high sightings of Orcas till about mid October, excellent sightings of Humpback Whales right through November, Steller Sea Lions, Porpoises, Seals, Eagles, fall bird migrations, and the afternoon lighting becomes magical. We savor every tour this time of year, knowing that we will soon put the boats away for another winter.
