  • 27' expedition style RIB ("Zodiac")
  • 15 passengers or less
  • 2.5-3 hour whale/wildlife tours
  • Cushioned bench seating
  • Onboard hydrophone
  • Guided by a USCG licensed captain and a naturalist
  • $99 per adult, $76 per child

Amenities? Not so much. This is an adventure tour. We will suit you up in an anti-exposure suit and give you gloves, hats, and binoculars to borrow. While this is a very safe boat and conditions here are usually pretty calm, this is a fast ride, exposed to the elements, and can be rough and wet at times. We do not recommend this tour for pregnant women, people with heart conditions, people with back or neck issues, and children under 6. If you are looking for a wind in your hair "expedition style" adventure with the opportunity to learn about the amazing whales and wildlife of the San Juan Islands, then the Western Explorer is for you.
