Amazing day in the San Juan Islands with TWO species of whales!

What an amazing day on the water we had today with not one but TWO species of whales! After leaving Friday Harbor, we met up with the T65A group of Bigg’s Killer Whales. Among them is a sprouter male, T65A2, born in 2004 with a distinct dorsal fin. He has a slightly angled notch just below the tip of his dorsal. After enjoying the orcas, even observing a kill, we headed north to follow up on a report of two humpback whales. Our luck held and we caught up with “Heather” and Divot”, two amazing Humpback Whales. All in all a perfect whale watching day in the San Juan Islands!!!
