The Bigg’s encounters have been just amazing lately! We caught up with the T46’s just south of San Juan Island. After a little bit of time, they started hunting a Harbor porpoise and leaping out of the water with the porpoise in the mouth! I didn’t get the best images of it, but perhaps it will give you an idea of the power in our top ocean predator. Please note that the boat in the images below is not as close as it looks. Judging distance on the water can be very deceiving. We also got some great looks at Steller Sea lions who were on the rocks, and safe (for now) from these Killer whales.
