Killer Whales Hunting in Canada

Killer Whales Hunting in Canada

June 13, 2025 – We had a beautiful afternoon on the water. We headed toward the Discovery Islands near the Vancouver island shoreline. We encountered the T75B family, a mom and her three children. They were hunting a juvenile sea lion. We witnessed a lot of zigging and zagging from the killer whales as they hunted, but there hearts didn’t seem in it. Eventually the sea lion got away, but we were lucky to see some tail slapping and lunges from the T75Bs. In addition, we had a beautiful stop in the Cactus Islands and spied some harbor seals peaking out from amongst the beds of bull kelp.
