Western Prince II PM: September 22, 2016

Happy 1st day of fall!!! And what a perfect fall day it was. We left Friday Harbor heading north and caught up with a large group of Southern Resident Orcas just south of Saturna Island. The whales were clustered in three groups of at least nine whales each. What a privilege to be able to spend our afternoon with so many of these amazing animals! On our way back to port, we were very lucky and got to see a “bonus whale”… a Humpback whale in Spieden Channel.  We also stopped to view a large group of Harbor Seals, Mouflon Sheep, and Fallow Deer on Spieden Island.
