Springtime Orcas

Springtime Orcas

April 2, 2026 – We headed north with reports of killer whales right off the dock and started out by viewing some Steller Sea Lions at Green Point! Suddenly, a family of killer whales known as the T49As showed up around the corner! We got some great looks at the new calf with its peachy tone! Adorable! Then, we headed off to another report of whales only a few miles away and found the T71Bs and T124Ds traveling along the Orcas shoreline! T71B also had a fairly new calf as well! The lighting and green color of the water made for some beautiful looks as we spent some time with the two mothers and their kids. Finally, we had one last look at the T49As outside Friday Harbor before heading back to our dock! Such a fun day!
