Get (T)ogether!

Get (T)ogether!

June 29, 2026– This Monday morning trip was filled to the brim with excitement! We left the harbor going south toward Cattle Point, where we made our first stop at Whale Rocks to check out some very showy Steller sea lions. Just a quick stop over, we found one of the rarest creatures in our inland waterway– a sea otter! This guy was hanging out alone at Mummy Rocks along with some harbor seals. It was tough to tear away from this cutie, but we had a report to the east of killer whales! We continued along the south edge of Lopez island until we met up with a gathering of Bigg’s killer whales, the T123’s, T077’s, T075B’s, T125A and T128!! They gave us marvelous looks along Lopez Island’s gorgeous shoreline. After a good hour with this group, we went south and found a lonesome grey whale! We got several looks at this individual before we had to make our way home to Friday Harbor.
