It was a fabulous day on the Western Prince. We were so lucky to see Steller Sea Lions, the Mouflon Rams, ewes and lambs of Spieden Island, Bald Eagles and the friendly humpback whale “Big Momma!” Boiling Reef, which lies between East Point on Saturna Island and Patos Island (the lighthouse in the picture with Mt. Baker), was such a spectacular place for our encounter with Big Momma. The 100’s of Long Tail Ducks and Bonaparte Gulls and stunning snow covered mountains added to our amazing experience.
