June 19, 2026– Lucky whale summer prevails! We started our morning travelling south down San Juan Channel, where we made our first stop at whale rocks to check out the Steller sea lions hauled out! We couldn’t stay long because reports of a whale out west drew us into Haro Strait and down into the Strait of Juan de Fuca. We were treated to a triple species day, spotting a humpback and minke whale briefly, then spending a good hour with a group of 8 killer whales! We even got to watch them porpoising up the strait!
