August 23, 2026– We started our morning headed north up San Juan Channel, and made our first stop at the Cactus Islands. There we saw some sleepy harbor seals hauled out and in the water, plus a bald eagle! Eventually, we continued northwest to Waldron Island where we met with 6 killer whales, which turned out to be the T49As! This family gave us a spectacular show, and even gave us a spyhop right before we left! We spent a nice hour with this group until we had to turn back toward home. Right before we got home, we stopped at Turn Reef for a look at Alfredo the sea otter!
