A beautiful evening in the San Juan Islands watching Bigg’s Killer Whales

A beautiful evening in the San Juan Islands watching Bigg’s Killer Whales

A beautiful evening on the water. We hooked up with the T101’s along the Salt Spring Island shoreline. T101, a 44-year-old female traveled with T102, a 33 male. Their sunlit blows against a dark backdrop made for beautiful pictures. T101’s 2 sons, T101A and T101B, ages 24 and 20 traveled together out in the middle of the channel. After visiting with the Transient or Bigg’s killer whales we were treated to beautiful scenery including Mt. Baker and the Turn Point Lighthouse. Next on to see an Oyster Catcher, some Harbor Seals, Mouflon (big horned) sheep and a majestic Bald Eagle!
