We had a fantastic tour this morning! We had lots of little groups from L pod on the south end of San Juan Island. Many times when they are down here foraging, they are super spread doing lots of long dives looking for Chinook salmon. This morning, the orcas were into socializing more than foraging. We had an orca sit at the surface with just the nose poking out for several minutes. To add to the beautiful encounter we were in glassy water with sunny blue skies.
