Otis and Scuttles!

Otis and Scuttles!

May 17, 2026– Another beautiful day on the water! Captain Bethany took us down south and we found a very rare inhabitant of the islands– a sea otter! Nicknamed “Otis” by our crew, this lone male was hanging out off Turn Reef and let us float around with him for a bit before we departed south again. We made another stop to check out the Steller sea lions on Whale Rocks. We continued south again to Smith Island, where we saw a pair of Tufted Puffins! We came northwest to the west side of San Juan Island where we found the humpback “Scuttles”.
