Beautiful Salish Sea Spring Day!

Beautiful Salish Sea Spring Day!

Today was a wonderful adventure out into the Salish Sea! It was sunny and just slightly warmer than yesterday, but still a bit chilly. We made our way north and got to see Steller Sea lions, Bald eagles, and a Peregrine Falcon. We then cruised our way up to where another boat had spotted a Humpback whale. It was “Big Momma”, our local celebrity Humpback.
We were in an area called “Boiling Reef” and it was especially amazing today. Lots of tidal action with thousands of Bonaparte gulls, hundreds of Long-tailed Ducks, as well as Rhinoceros auklets. Big Momma zigged and zagged through the currents.
