There is nothing quite like leaving the dock here in Friday Harbor with absolutely no whale reports and then get out and hear that someone found whales west of San Juan Island! We had an amazing encounter with the Transients off of Victoria, BC! I looked through all my pictures, but never saw what their “unfortunate meal” was.
