Lopez Island Circumnavigation!

Lopez Island Circumnavigation!

June 28, 2026– Our morning tour started off heading south down San Juan Channel. We made our first stop at Whale Rocks to marvel at the largest species of sea lion in the world, the Steller sea lion! The boys gave us a great display, but eventually we moved on traveling east in pursuit of a report of killer whales. On our way to the sighting, we ended up finding our own group of 6 killer whales! After a great look at the family, they started porpoising up Rosario Strait, so we continued on our search. We continued north to the east side of Blakely Island, where we found presumed brothers T128 “Flotsam” and T125A “Jetsam”. The big boys showed off their massive dorsal fins and treated us to a beautiful encounter before we had to make the turn for Friday Harbor
