July 13, 2026– Captain Ivan started our morning headed north up San Juan Channel, all the way to Sentinel Island where we stopped to enjoy a haul out of harbor seals! We admired the mom and pups for a bit before continuing out west to Canada! In the middle of Haro Strait, we found a humpback whale BCY0946 “Slits”! She gave us a couple good looks before we had to continue on. On the Canadian side of the strait, we met up with two brothers, T77C and T77E just north of Sidney Island. They were definitely getting up to some mischief as they maneuvered into some pretty shallow reefs… After a nice chunk of time with those boys, we made the turn to head home!
