June 4, 2023 – We had a wonderful encounter with a male bigg’s killer whale known as T124C “Cooper”. He is one of the rare cases of a single male that does not regularly travel with his mother or family. He has two older sisters that he sometimes travels with but today he was on his own as he cruised through the San Juan Islands. He has one of the pointiest dorsal fins of any male in the population! He was traveling through some very pretty areas and at one point, passed right by a deer that was swimming in the water! We also checked out some harbor seals and spotted several eagles before heading back to Friday Harbor.
