Such a fantastic day! We started out with a rumor of a few orcas inter-island near Friday Harbor. Those orcas were sighted and they turned out to be a group I just didn’t get to see last year at all! (Not for lack of not being on the water, just that our paths didn’t cross!) I love the T18’s so very much and it was a welcomed treat to see this group. We also heard there was an even bigger group of Bigg’s Killer whales just to the east of these orcas. We were able to watch both groups. Would they come together? No! They didn’t! They both continued on their ways. It was a lovely encounter to watch these animals play, travel, and hunt.
