WOW! An incredible day with three species of cetaceans. We first got to see a Gray whale in northern Haro strait. Such a large and graceful animal! We then went over to hang out with the T65As. And what an incredible encounter we had!!!  This was one of the most amazing hunts I’ve seen in my time here. When we first came onto scene the whales were just travelling along with some longer dives inbetween. They then split up a little bit and one of the groups stayed in a current line. I thought they might be looking for food in the current line. After several minutes underwater, chaos erupted! T65A2 was chasing a Harbor porpoise! He seemed to lead this particular hunt, though everyone did get in on the action. We could see the porpoise zigging and zagging for its life, but to no avail. A large sputter of blood in the water told us that they were successful and would soon be sharing a meal together, family style. Truly a spectacular event to watch in nature.
