Sister Sunday!

Sister Sunday!

June 7, 2026 – We had a blast this Sunday with tons of wildlife here in the Salish Sea. Captain Bethany took us all the way to Whidbey Island to meet up with two matrilines, the T124A2’s and the T124A4’s. There were six whales total, two sisters and their two calves! The young ones were incredibly social with each other, and gave us such a special experience. Eventually, we had to turn back to Friday Harbor, but we were lucky enough to find a number of tufted puffins just off of Smith Island. We also saw a number of harbor seals hauled out at Shark Reef and we even got a rare glimpse at a sea otter, “Alfredo”, at Turn Rock! To wrap up our trip, an eagle soared overhead as we arrived back to Friday Harbor in pursuit of a gull!
