We had an epic day on the Western Explorer II! We left Friday Harbor with a report of multiple families of marine mammal feeding killer whales socializing together just north of Orcas Island. Once we arrived on scene it appeared that many of the adults were enjoying a nap, while the younger kids in the family spent time goofing off behind them. It was such a treat to spend the afternoon with this group of rambunctious juveniles. It was an overall amazing day for wildlife, with great looks at harbor porpoise, harbor seals and bald eagles, too!
