A fellow whale watch operator’s boat was having issues as they left the dock, so our owner offered to take his passengers out. It was a gorgeous evening with a group of Bigg’s Killer whales that were right in San Juan Channel, close to Friday Harbor. We watched at the travelled up the channel, then splitting into 3 different groups. We watched a group of animals tucked into shore on the north side of San Juan Island. They made a kill as they were nearing Ruben Tarte park. Gorgeous and still evening to be out on the water!
